Without actually doing anything.
[He likes Missy, as these things go for him, and as his inmate she has his unwavering support; none of that changes or excuses the destruction wrought across lifetimes and that it seemed to be viewed acceptable as long as it didn't impact Gallifrey.]
oh, they did plenty. when i first came here we had the director of the CIA here.
keeping that weight of history in one place, keeping a power like that stable, it's an immense amount of hard work. they just couldn't let anyone see the swan's feet going like the clappers the whole time.
yes, his world is really going to take some fixing, isn't it?
when I'm with him I can nearly mistake him for Gallifreyan. his mind works the same way. and of course he's Missy's friend too. I'm so happy he's here.
it's a thing I cultivated from a very early age. a defense again being ignored and it helps a very small person with little or no backup get her own way.
actually, now i think of it, i know a lot of unarmed combat techniques specifically for smaller people up against huge bruisers. is anyone teaching you any of that?
I usually don't have to put in a lot of work into it, but there's not much of a gap.
[People see that he's small and quiet and scared of almost everything - and all of that is true. That they sometimes underestimate how far he'll go or what his powers mean doesn't change that.]

[Getting his own way is just completely foreign, especially if he was noticed.]
