[He winces in sympathy, and has no capacity to gently express anything sympathetic, just now. Anything he managed would come off patronizing. Unless he considers the truth.
It takes longer than he wishes it would, but he types,]
You're handling it better than I am.
Iris has said the barge is its own temporal bubble.
[She said that a long time ago, on the network; Jedao is the kind to look. He figures Nico is the same kind, to one degree or another; so that's alright.]
I'm worried about the possibility of aftershocks. Like ripples bouncing back from the edge of a koi pond.
I've been waiting for it. Something like it. I looked it up, the effect of electric shock on the brain. And most of what I found was for much less. For differently wired minds. Everyone else died, no long term case studies.
[He had seen it effect others. There's video proof, that he'd watched over even as he'd already memorized the important data. He doesn't know how he's handling it but it's a fear (a chance, a probability, a likelihood - he doesn't know) that he's never shared before.]
And ripples can grow bigger, bouncing back and forth. I'm worried that it means things will break down. We don't even know how we're -
[He means to delete that text but at least he sends it before he completes it, his fears about how the Admiral had brought all of them here whether it's actually them or maybe just some... essence of what they were put in bodies shaped by the Admiral and with senses ready to decay if he loses hold. People disappear. People come and go with no set pattern in what they remember. None of this could be real and it's all a trap and they're stuck playing a game or maybe just a larder being exercised -
He takes time to remember how to breath, what Cate taught him and what he had then taught himself about shutting out everything he can. At least over text he hopes it can seem calm.]
Iris might be able to create more individualized temporal bubbles. She's likely to have more information about the possible ramifications too but a temporary setup could provide space to make more solid arrangements.
If the Admiral's time is anything like Calendar time, he has many ways to reassert it against disturbances.
[He isn't worried about serious damage to the ship. But he is worried these side effects may be too small for the Admiral to care about, recurring or not.]
One of us could talk to Iris and and one to Mr. Hunter.
[He's talked to her before and that makes it a less daunting prospect - but it's also because he's pretty sure he'd get less out of Rip than Jedao would.]

Captain Hunter said that linguistic dysphasia was a common side effect, also double vision, with the suggestion that there are others.

[He'll send it. If Jedao wants to know anything else, he'll do his best to find out.]
